WB 13.7.20 WHAT'S HAPPENING THIS WEEK?

We are all very very excited as it is the last week of term - whoo-hoo!

  • Newsround Keep up to date with the news each day.

The celebrity supply teacher continues on CBBC - 9.25am. Daily 10 minute classes taught by a range of famous people from their own homes!

  • BBC Bitesize A fantastic resource of videos, activities and ideas to keep you busy

KEEPING ACTIVE:

The Lancashire School Games team are producing a P.E, school sport and physical activity resource pack for children. There is a weekly timetable of daily activities with four different themed activities to choose from - Move, Learn, challenge and Play Lancashire School Games Activity Timetable

  • Supermovers Great for moving and learning at the same time
  • Go Noodle A fun way to keep active and improve coordination

ENGLISH:

  • Michael Rosen If you need a giggle, try watching some poems performed by Michael Rosen His website has lots of videos you can watch.
  • David Walliams has been reading Bad Dad at 11 am everyday. Guaranteed to make you giggle!
  • World Book Day website Trying to find something to read? Here is a recommended list of the top 100 books to share
  • Storynory has audio books that are free to download and listen to. Choose a story, find some where comfy and relax
  • audible also has free stories at the moment.

MATHS

  • LPDS YouTube channel The Lancashire consultants team now have a YouTube channel with videos of ideas for games and activities

MUSIC 

  • Sing Up Feel like singing? Sing Up is a fantastic website with lots of songs for you to sing along to - there are various playlists - relaxing/soothing, empowering/inspiring, songs to get you moving - that you can choose from. Don't forget you can log on to YUMU - Charanga too.

SPRING HALF TERM FUN

Sadly, theatres and music venues have had to close their doors for the time being. We thoroughly enjoyed watching this production of ‘The Midnight Gang’ by Chichester Festival Theatre  – free to watch online until 29th May. You can also watch a production of Beauty and the Beast available until 19th June.

“30 Days Wild” - The Wildlife Trust can help you to have a really wild month this June! Which random acts of Wildness will you do in June?
