Grindleton C.E. Primary School

Grow and Shine in God’s Glory

I am Mrs Joanne Abram, the Headteacher of Grindleton CE Primary School and may I take this opportunity to welcome you to the school. I hope you find the information on this website useful and informative.

At Grindleton, we aim to provide a secure, caring and stimulating environment in which children are encouraged to strive to do their best in all aspects of their development. All of this is done under the Christian guidance of Gospel values and encapsulated in the school's motto, which is to 'Grow and Shine in God's Glory''.

We believe that courtesy, respect and concern for others are as important as high standards of achievement in academic work.  To this end, we are determined to meet the needs of every child, celebrating the uniqueness of each child. As a school, we work hard to create a lively, engaging and purposeful learning environment in which children will develop a love of learning.

As a church school, we enjoy close links with the church of St. Ambrose and believe that the Christian faith underpins all that we do in school and permeates all aspects of school life. We are very proud of our school and our children's achievements, their positive attitudes to learning and behaviour and the way in which they look after each other in this close-knit school 'family' community.

We actively encourage parents to become involved in their children's education. We firmly believe that home and school need to work in partnership for the benefit of the children. Working together as a school family, we can ensure that children are both happy and successful at school.

Please take the time to browse our website and find out more about us and what we are doing here at Grindleton.  If you would like any more information, please don’t hesitate to contact us.  If you are interested in joining our school family, you are very welcome to visit to our school – just call to make an appointment.

We welcome you to come on in and take a look around...
